The whole process is just too slow for today's digital world of instant communication. When I changed my cell phone plan I actually decided to drop the voicemail feature. Since I don't do much business over the phone, I can get away with this. I can still see if I miss any calls via call display and if it is urgent, they will likely try phoning back later.
